The Town of Springdale strives to preserve our community character and high quality of life for residents in the face of new and anticipated future growth. As the gateway to Zion National Park, the Town will always fill a role in providing high-quality services to Park visitors. The Town always seeks to preserve the community character as its top priority while realizing some growth will occur as the Town continues to be a desirable place to live and Zion National Park continues to be a popular place to visit.
The kind of housing developed in the community plays a significant role in determining the Town’s character and the Town’s ability to provide high-quality service to visitors. The Town wants your input on what type of housing will best preserve the Town’s character and accomplish the Town’s goals listed above.
Housing is not just a Springdale issue. Housing has become the most pressing land use issue in the State of Utah. Most land use policy groups (Utah League of Cities and Towns, Utah Chapter American Planning Association, Utah City Managers Association, etc.) anticipate the State Legislature will soon require cities and towns across Utah to allow more dense housing than they currently do. In anticipation of this, the Town is seeking community input on the kind of housing that could be developed in Springdale.
Would you please take a few minutes and share your thoughts on the future of housing in Springdale?
