Parks And Recreation
The Town of Springdale has two public parks for the use and enjoyment of Town residents, guests and visitors. The two parks are the Town Park on Lion Boulevard and the George Barker River Park on Zion Park Boulevard.
Park standards have been developed to ensure that parks users do not negatively impact the general public's access to or enjoyment of park facilities. Please click on the Park Policies link to left to access the park use and event policy.
The Town Park is located at about 126 Lion Boulevard and is the park area that surrounds the Canyon Community Center and includes the gazebo and accompanying picnic area, the tennis courts, the volleyball courts, the ball field and other assocated areas. The park faciliteis include picnic areas, restrooms, barbeques and a playground area with play equipment. The ball field and gazebo area may be rented for private,non-commerical events according to the policies. Please review the policies and park rental form for specific details.
Several events are held annually at the Town Park. Events such as the Zion Canyon Music Festival, the Town's 4th of July celebration, and the Zion Flute and Drum Festival are a few of the annual events that use this space.






The George Barker River Park is located at XXX Zion Park Boulevard and includes the River Park (cultivated park area), the Marj Bonner Dog Park (the native area east of the Virgin River) and all picnic areas, and trails. The River Park has picnic facilities, restrooms, barbeques. Across the footbridge is a the natural park area of the Marj Bonner Dog Park. Inside the dog park are trails that run along the Virgin River and provide an excellent opportunity for walking. Please be aware that the dog park is an "off-leash" area and visitors to the park may encounter dogs that are off leash at any time.
The River Park is intended to stay open and accessible to the community at large during all regular park hours an may not be rented or reserved. The park is open to non-comnmerical, private events on a first come, first served basis. However, no single event may expressly or constructively exclude any other users or groups from enjoying and using the park. Please see the policies for complete details.

The Town parks are a great amenity to the Town and can be enjoyed best when everyone thinks about the next user and leaves the park in good condition.
